The science department is responsible for teaching of science and related courses in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural and Physical Education. Our main focus is to teach the methodology necessary for teacher trainees to teach effectively science related courses/subjects at the basic schools to which they would be posted.
The department ensures that students acquire basic knowledge and practices in the use of lesson plan to enable them become well prepared to teach science. Students are introduced to teaching methods such as activity method, demonstration, discussions, guided discovery, games, projects, simulations, field trips, practicum, face to face, question and answer method, role play and E – learning opportunities.
